A system that arranges and dries kashkaval cheese coming out of the brine pool and feeds it to the vacuum packaging machines with robots, commissioned in Karaman after a one-year preparation process.
This robotic packaging system arranges and dries kashkaval cheese coming out of the brine pool, then feeds it to the vacuum packaging machines using robots.
Developed through the combined work of a robot programmer, food engineer, energy engineer, mechanical engineer, field operator, production supervisors and many other disciplines, this system brings a markedly different production technology to traditional kashkaval cheese manufacturing. Hygiene was the central focus of the project, since the robots operate in an environment that must remain constantly clean and hygienic. Following a preparation process of roughly one year, the system was commissioned for LACTALIS at its Karaman facility. The system uses 3 delta robots, which handle product orientation and drying at the pool outlet, then arrange the products arriving under the camera into the vacuum packaging machines in various recipe-defined formats.
